IN PHCC Workforce Development Campaign

Indiana PHCC Workforce Development Campaign;  How It Works for Members:

A Prospective plumbing tech goes to thebestcareer4you.com website and we connect an Indiana PHCC Contractor to them.

How does the potential employee find this website?

Working with a seasoned marketing firm, there is focused advertising designed to be mobile friendly and leads them to the website. If interested they complete a very brief form requesting information. That form includes their name, email or phone number so you can text them, and the Indiana county in which they live.

Once the prospect hits “send” what happens?

Immediately upon submission, they receive an email or text thanking them for requesting information.

Is that all they get?

No. That email or text tells them they will soon be contacted by a plumbing professional in their area. That professional is an Indiana PHCC member that services the county in which the prospective employee lives. They also get links about the career of plumbing.

When does the Indiana PHCC Contractor get involved?

At the same time as they submit their contact information, one of our PHCC members in that county receives an email asking them to contact the person, and it includes the person's name and email or text information.

Is there some sort of template I can use?

Absolutely! When you get the email asking you to respond there will be suggestions on what you might say as well as links regarding apprenticeship details and schools.

I don’t text. Why is that an option?

It is the preferred method of communication with this age group. We will give you language to use if you want. It’s easier than you think!

As a contractor I cover more than one county.

You can have up to eight counties in our database. Just let the Association office know if you want to add or delete counties.

What resonates with this age group?

They probably know little about the industry but would be intrigued by having a job that they aren’t doing the same thing everyday. They want to make a difference in the world so talk about your community involvement.

I’m a contractor. I get busy. What if I don’t have time to contact them?

The email to you contains two links: one that says you will contact the prospective employee, and the other that says you will be unable to contact the employee.

How long do I have to respond?

You have two business days to click on the link stating that you will contact the person. If you do not click on the link within two business days, or if you click the “decline” link, the information for that prospective employee will be sent to another PHCC member that services that county. If that person is unable to contact the prospective employee, the information will be sent to the Indiana PHCC office for follow up by the association staff.

What should I say when I email the Prospect?

That is up to you! We suggest you offer to answer any questions they have about the plumbing field and the types of things they would be doing for you. You might offer a time that they could call you or set up a visit to your shop.

Can I assign someone else in my office to be the contact?

Sure! Just let the Indiana PHCC office know so they can get it on the database system.

How often will I be contacted?

We hope a lot! Obviously it will depend on how many people from your county or nearby counties are requesting information. We are constantly testing our message and where we place the advertising so we can get the strongest results.

What if I don’t have a job available right now?

No problem. We suggest you make the contact and offer to answer questions. It may be a while before the person is ready for an interview and by then you may be needing an apprentice!

How much does this cost me?

Nothing! It’s a benefit of being a member of Indiana PHCC!
