Sump Pump Readiness

Things To Know Before Isaac Hits

The average life of a sump pump is 3-5 years, but this is relative to use. Some pumps get replaced after 2 years and others after 12 years. If you have a good battery back-up system, the option exists to run the primary pump until it dies. If you want to be proactive you may prefer to change out pumps every 5 years. Battery back-up sump pump systems are like most things that we purchase, you get what you pay for. A $200.00 system at a home improvement center is not the same as a professionally installed system. The time to make the decision is before the rains start! Call a licensed plumber before Isaac hits!
